One of the most meaningful moments of a wedding is the ceremony itself- heck, it's the reason we're all there- but it doesn't have to be overly formal or intimidating. The right touch of humor can bring warmth, authenticity, and a sense of ease to both you and your guests.

When I review the ceremony scripts for my couples, I look for a lighthearted moment—a playful line in your vows, a charming anecdote from your officiant, or a subtle nod to your shared quirks. Humor, when done with care, creates a natural rhythm, balances emotion, and reminds everyone that this real wedding moment is as joyful as it is profound.

So, while the setting can be formal and grand, your ceremony doesn't have to be. It should reflect your personality, your connection, and the life you’re building together. And, if a bit of laughter feels true to you, embrace it.

Henna tattoos are much more than body art - they are a beautiful way to tell your love story. Many of the intricate designs draw out a story using symbols and illustrations that hold sacred meanings. Our South Indian bride, Kiri, chose traditional mehndi designs on her feet and hands, including a lotus, which symbolizes purity, new beginnings, grace, and spiritual awakenings. The flower design is surrounded by intricate paisley patterns that symbolize fertility. While the groom added a playful touch of his own—a strawberry on his palm, a sweet nod to his pet name for his bride.

Whether you choose an elaborate henna design, a small hidden symbol, or none at all, your wedding should reflect you. And that’s exactly what Vibrant Events is here to help with: creating a celebration that feels truly, authentically yours.

Happy Anniversary Sara & Jamie! It’s not often I get to support a dear colleague with their own special event, so when Sara - who lives in DC- decided to throw a Napa Wine Country destination dinner party for her 20th Anniversary, I raised my hand and jumped right in! Such a great East Coast and West Coast crew of creatives collaborating to produce this stunning event. I still can’t get over that white grape and almond soup chef @joshgarcia670 poured in the 5 course meal. Planning and design was Sara herself @bellanottedc… a master with color, and dear friend Claudia @fig2design did all custom stationary, with calligraphy from @jess.mcsweeney, and the beautiful photos from Cicely @procopiophoto. Stunning natural, local flowers from Susan in Sonoma County @marionmossfloral, video support from Parker @parker_strehlow, and rentals from @brighteventrentals in Sonoma, @maisondecarine, @bbjlatavola. Wine cave and wines at Hall Wines @hallwines in Napa Valley and event management and on the ground support with Corina @vibrant.events.
